Invite to Get Closer

Starting Conversations with Members

On the floor, you can easily have conversations with other members by inviting them to get closer using the "Invite to get closer" feature. Invited members will not miss your request thanks to a desktop notification. You can start a conversation at the moment they accept your invitation because they will teleport nearby you.

💡
If a member’s status is “Away” they cannot be invited closer. However, if a member’s status is “Busy” they can be invited closer in case of an emergency.

Invite Someone Closer (Method #1: From Sidebar)

There are two method to get closer to members. One is to call from the sidebar

  1. Search for the person you want to talk to from the sidebar on the left side of the screen
  2. Place your cursor over their name
  3. Click on the green “Invite to get closer” button

Search for Members

When there are many members on your team, it may be difficult to find them in the name bar.

In such case, utilize the search function which makes it easy to look for members.

  1. Type the name of the member you want to speak to in the “Search Member” box above the sidebar
  2. Click on the member’s username
  3. Click on “Invite to get closer”

Invite “Busy” Member ・Warning

Follow the steps below if you want to have a conversation with a member whose status is “Busy”.

  1. Place cursor over the member’s name
  2. Click on “Invite to get closer”

It is recommended that this function is only used in case of an emergency as it may interfere with one’s work.

  1. Find the member you want to speak to on the map
  2. Place your cursor over their avatar
  3. Click on the green “Invite to get closer” button

Accept a Request to Get Closer

Click on the button displayed in the desktop notification.

This notification will be displayed even if you are working in other apps.

Request to Unmute

Another way to call for members on the floor is to click on their avatar and request for them to unmute.

  1. Get close to the avatar on the floor that you want to speak to
  2. Request for them to unmute themselves

Once the member approves the request, a conversation can be started.

It is also helpful to use this function and send a request if you feel that a member has forgotten to unmute themselves.
